Temple Visit to: The Village Elmslie Lodge Barkingside Essex, UK.

This visit was to provide an initial teaching meditation session on behalf of one of the Temple Laypersons.

The visiting party set off early on the Sunday morning as the venue was east London and required a few hours of travelling

The venue was at a Residential Retirement facilitythat provides comfortable living for older people.  Plus, other people travelled some distance to also take part.

The community lounge that was made available for our use was clean, bright and comfortable with perfect kitchen facilities and access to clean toilets.

Ven. Phra Amaro introduced the attendees to the concept of meditation and how it can help them in their daily lives.  The group also watched some educational videos to help in their instruction.  Following the Dhamma talk the group was led in a 35 minute meditation session.

Afterwards each participant spoke of how they felt during the mediation and how it had left them feeling calm and peaceful.

All of the participants were very enthusiastic about the experience and are eager for the Temple to continue to help with meditation sessions on a regular basis.

Following the meditation session everyone had to chance to talk with each other over refreshments.

The visit was a great success and after a long day the travelling party returned back to Wat Phra Dhammakaya London.

Another session has been arranged for 29 March 2020
